Elsewhere in the league table, Merck & Co. (PharmaDeals Corp-METRx, Merck, October 2011) has overtaken Novartis (PharmaDeals Corp-METRx, Novartis, October 2011) to claim fifth position in the overall deal activity rankings. Eli Lilly (PharmaDeals Corp-METRx, Eli Lilly, October 2011) and Bayer Healthcare (PharmaDeals Corp-METRx, Bayer Healthcare, October 2011) have also changed positions and are now in ninth and tenth place in the league table, respectively.
