In a bid to broaden its focus on infectious diseases, Sanofi Pasteur has expanded its collaboration and license agreement with Translate Bio to develop mRNA vaccines for all infectious diseases. The deal builds upon an agreement between the two companies from June 2018 for the development of mRNA vaccines, which was further amended in March 2020 to include vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 as an additional licensed field.
