Winning – but at what Cost?

Abstract
In third quarter of 2006, many companies competed with each other to acquire same business. In most of the cases, when companies seek to be acquired, they open their books for due diligence by multiple suitors and it is also rarer that acquiring companies publicly tender competitive bids. The analyst opinion article states that threat of competition throws up new series of problems and suggests that the situation can be won by clear head, clever negotiating tactics and forethought.
