In an effort to strengthen its footprint in metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH), Madrigal Pharmaceuticals has signed a licensing agreement with Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals to develop ARO PNPLA3, a clinical stage RNA interference (RNAi) therapy targeting the PNPLA3 gene mutation implicated in MASH. Through the deal, Madrigal gains exclusive global rights to Arrowhead’s siRNA programme, further expanding its research pipeline. The agreement marks another MASH-focused partnership for Madrigal, following its recent alliances with CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, Pfizer, and Suzhou Ribo Life Science.
