Sanya Sekhri

Abstract

In order to reinforce its leadership in rare diseases, Servier has agreed to acquire the muscular dystrophy business of Edgewise Therapeutics in a transaction worth approximately US$2.65 B. The deal provides Servier access to Edgewise’s lead asset, sevasemten, which is an investigational orally administered first-in class fast skeletal myosin inhibitor designed to preserve and protect unstable muscle against contraction-induced damage in individuals living with rare muscular dystrophy.
