Abstract
In a strategic move to strengthen its oncology portfolio, GSK has agreed to acquire Nuvalent for approximately US$10.6 B. GSK picks up two late-stage, potential best-in-class non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) therapies - zidesamtinib and neladalkib -targeting ROS1- and ALK-driven lung cancers, respectively, which are currently both under FDA review with approvals expected by the end of 2026. In addition, the big pharma will also gain access to the HER2-targeted candidate NVL-330 and a broader precision oncology pipeline. The acquisition expands GSK’s precision oncology capabilities and provides significant commercial growth opportunities.
