Sanofi-aventis has agreed to acquire Medley, the Brazilian generic drugs maker, for €500 M (US$664 M). According to reports in the Brazilian media, Sanofi had been in talks with Medley since February. Sanofi is set to become the leading generics manufacturer in Latin America.
