P&G Sells Pharma Division to Focus on Consumer Business

Abstract
Procter & Gamble (P&G) agreed to sell its pharmaceuticals business to Warner Chilcott in a deal that could highlight the revival of bank financing for big deals and the need for companies to review their core business lines. P&G had been looking for buyers for the drug division in order to focus its energies on its consumer business.
