To improve the efficiency of its R&D operations, Sanofi-aventis has signed a number of agreements with Covance that will see the contract research organisation earn between US$1.2 B and US$2.2 B over a 10-year period. Covance will also buy two of Sanofi-aventis’ European research facilities for US$25 M.
