Indian Pharmaceutical company, Zydus Cadila, has stepped into the vaccines market with the acquisition of vaccine developer, Etna Biotech, a subsidiary of Crucell NV of The Netherlands. The acquisition will bring cutting edge expertise in vaccine technology and products to Zydus Cadila, an area in which it was aspiring to gain a stronger foothold.
