NitroMed and Archemix are to combine in a reverse merger deal. The agreement allows troubled NitroMed to create value for its shareholders, and provides Archemix, with much-needed cash and a public listing. With the current downturn in the economy, it is to be expected that we will see more such deals in the near future.
