Bavarian Nordic is a Danish company which develops anti-infective vaccine immunotherapeutics using its Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA-BN®) vector technology. The company’s most advanced projects are vaccines for HIV [Imvamune(TM)] and smallpox virus (MVA-BN® nef vaccine) with other therapeutic interests including Japanese encephalitis virus, Dengue fever, measles and respiratory syncytial virus. Bavarian Nordic also focuses on cancer programs including breast, colon and prostate cancers via its newly established US subsidiary - BN Immunotherapeutics.
