IPOs: Still the Exit Strategy of Choice?
Business Review Editor
Abstract
Launching an IPO is a huge and costly commitment in terms of both time and money. It is generally considered that it takes at least 6 to 10 years from start-up for a company to be in a position to float and by the time that it is ready, the market may not be accessible thus introducing further delays and a decline in share value. The biotech companies therefore, look more towards alternative exit route strategies than IPOs.
