Surfaxin® is a pulmonary surfactant that contains sinapultide (KL4), a synthetic peptide resembling human surfactant protein B, which was originally developed by Prof Charles G Cochrane at The Scripps Research Institute. Lucinactant is an aqueous suspension of sinapultide with three other lung surfactants.
