Indiplon is a second-generation sedative hypnotic – a nonbenzodiazepine GABA-A receptor agonist selective for the alpha-1 subunit – that is being developed by Neurocrine Biosciences for the treatment of insomnia, both as an immediate-release (IR) capsule and a modified-release (MR) tablet.
