Abstract
This article focuses on the PEGylation, a process by which polyethylene glycol (PEG) is attached to a therapeutic macromolecule to extend its activity and prolong its time in the body before it is broken down and eliminated. This feature considers that PEGylation technologies are proving to be hot property in terms of a promising drug delivery platform, which can be used to build or even reinvent an existing drug development pipeline.
