Abstract
Stem cells are immature cells with the capability to differentiate into specialized cell types in the body. Stem cells are manipulated and used in regenerative medicine to treat plethora of diseases. The article focuses on the ethics and legislations involved in employing human embryonic stem cells, use of adult-derived stem cells in treating diseases, deals focused on additional applications of stem cells and need for collaborations between companies to raise cash and develop regenerative therapies.
