GeneStream is a privately owned biotechnology company that focuses on developing improved DNA-based tools for medical research and in particular, drug screening. GeneStream currently has two major projects - RapidReporter® system which relates to a patented modification to standard reporter vectors that provides vastly improved performance in applications such as cell-based high throughput drug screening (HTS) and MetaboMouse® which relates to patented transgenic mice modified to more accurately preduct the likely effect of drugs in humans thereby circumventing the inherent problems associated with using mouse models to predict efficacy or toxicity in humans.
